When Darkness Continues...

Image
Before I keep discussing about Have a Little Faith, I figured I need to focus a little bit on DARKNESS, a topic beginning from the description of my encountering with a foreigner in peach dark, while responding to my current foreign friends’ request, “Hope, can you please wait for a while before discussing more about HAVE A LITTLE FAITH?” 」   Yes, I can, and I think we all need some time to clarify what we need, want, while going through the ordeals and tests in our daily lives, which is why I present humbly these three clips this week. They talk about different races join hands. They talk about how to rise from disparity. They talk about helping each other. They talk about going through darkness whereas not being scared by the frightening moments of such experiences.

In Case of Darkness...

(When I wrote the following work, I created the English first and Chinese afterwards, which is why Mandarin Chinese comes later.)   There are so many greetings, blessings from every corner of the world for me. I am quite honored; meanwhile, it reminds me of more things I could have done to uplift people's spirit, even just a little bit, in ordinary days of our ordinary lives.    Consequently, after writing for a million words, Chinese and English combined, for my humanitarian and voluntary projects through the years, when I read those articles again myself, as I had closed those blogs accumulating those words, I feel this uniqueness in me preparing me for more tasks in the days to come.    To say to share with people what I have seen during this prolonged journey is only to diminish the scope of such--I would rather state that it is because of the sharing of these, those originally unheard ...

MONSTERS OR NOT?

This is a new attempt: no transcript, only monologue. Another thing different would be the artwork with HOPE in it is slightly different from the previous work of mine. Quotation mentioned inside this video clip would be from ANDRE GIDE, the French Nobel Literature Prize winner. 原語句可能是法語,故譯為英文時版本略有不同,如~~~ He might have said the original sentence in French; whereas in English, versions of the same sentence can be slightly different.  "No monsters warrant the fears we have over them." 或 "There are very few monsters who warrant the fears we have over them."

Part C Have A Little Faith

Image
Why The End? I started discussing the book, Have a Little Faith , written by Mitch Albom, not from the beginning, but the end with a group of audience who expect my recorded messages similar to that of PODCAST. I switch back and forth in between Mandarin Chinese and English like in a formal meeting playing the role as an interpreter, yet I do not hold a transcript, only the book itself, and I am not interpreting any speakers’ words but those of a book. Under such anticipation from the audience, I am really much honored, for it is not in our daily lives that we can encounter talented people who appreciate our skills and who would like to listen carefully about what we would like to say. I pray that all of us have that grace ...
