When Darkness Continues... 當黑暗持續存有……

Before I keep discussing about Have a Little Faith, I figured I need to focus a little bit on DARKNESS, a topic beginning from the description of my encountering with a foreigner in peach dark, while responding to my current foreign friends’ request,

“Hope, can you please wait for a while before discussing more about HAVE A LITTLE FAITH?”

在繼續談論Have a Little Faith之前，我想我必須先花一點時間處理「暗黑」議題，而這個議題是從我論及一位在深手不見不指的黑夜中巧遇一外籍人士而談起，並進而有現今的外籍友人提出：「我們也想參與妳對Have a Little Faith的討論，能等等我們(把它讀一讀)嗎?」

 

Yes, I can, and I think we all need some time to clarify what we need, want, while going through the ordeals and tests in our daily lives, which is why I present humbly these three clips this week. They talk about different races join hands. They talk about how to rise from disparity. They talk about helping each other. They talk about going through darkness whereas not being scared by the frightening moments of such experiences.

當然可以。

而本週之所以呈現這三個可說是合而為一的講課或音檔內容，主要在於我們都需要在經歷我們生活當中的試鍊及苦楚時，擁有可以使我們澄清自己所想望之事的寶貴時間。

 

本週的音檔所談的是絕處逢生、種族間的共生共榮與互助合作、通過漫漫長路但覺前路黯淡無光但卻絲毫無所畏懼。

Before I designed and recorded the passages, yesterday, I reminded myself of the Serenity Prayer I used to read from a story:

日昨，於設計此篇課程/錄音章節前，我提醒了自己曾在某本書中看到的「寧靜禱告」(或可稱「平和禱告」)：

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change,
       神啊, 求祢賜予我平靜的心以接受我無法改變的既成事實，
courage to change the things that I can, 
       並請賜予我足夠的勇氣以形成轉變、創造不同，
and the wisdom to distinguish the two.
       更請賜予我能分辨既成事實和仍有可創造空間之事，這兩者間相異之處的智慧。

 

Screenshots here tell a story of a student friend's communication with me. A very professional medical crew, she told me how lucky my students are to be able to listen to my lucid, fluent transitions coming back and forth telling the story of meeting that foreigner at night; she also mentioned if it were her, she would never have had the guts to approach that sort of light: I guess we are all very different^^

It is always my honor to present such stories in my life: you know you are never alone and please be brave whatever situation you are in, for one way or another, we are all closely linked with each other and that in itself is a form of life beautifully handed to us all!
