Everything is Beautifully Wonderful

Image
The bags this outstanding friend had made are still with those ladies in east Africa who were amazed by the design and touch. They were discussing about it when I was there. Prior to that, this local friend of mine in Taiwan and I were also discussing how she had helped to train some less fortunate people to be professional enough to make bags in Taiwan. The person making the bags thanked me for making a clip for her. Back Side of the Bag Why did we discuss about all these?  I never feel like going somewhere to tell people what they should do. I enjoy offering them possibilities I have seen and let them make their own decisions, for they are the ones who know themselves the best. Never did I realize that ...

OPUS OF OUR HISTORY

Image
The newly created work, called Opus of Our History,  is very crude, in its quite basic form, no twigging,  nor the camera up to the focal point of the words. Nothing in the world is perfect.  We laugh, embrace whatever is around us, and keep helping each other to make things better.  I am graced to be able to create such a piece or pieces of work;  it makes me want to give more back to the societies in the world. Click to listen to Meet the Rabbi & A Little History of Spring Inside Have A Little Faith (If authorization is requested, please kindly follow the instructions. REFLECTION(S) When someone from our past comes to us, is this person trying to kidnap us psychologically? This term, “psychological kidnapping,” is something I still need to work on to find out from under which circums...

The brave-hearted may not be known. For many people, to do something good is only a conscientious call from the bottom of their heart.

Where to Run?

Image
I was trying to explain Have a Little Faith, written by Mitch Albom; I would like to record explanations of the words inside the book in Mandarin Chinese for my students. While encountering some technical problems resulting my unsuccessful attempt to post the discussion in its video form, I started to think deeper about the title "The Great Tradition of Running Away" made by the author inside the chapter Spring. In our lives, there are so many things we would like to run away from. As a person teaching people English as a foreign or second language, I see them run away from difficulties and hard work. Few would like to sweat to trade other qualities of life; consequently, they accept the fact of working on routine tasks day in, day out. When job descriptions become too challenging, people can run away. There are ...

TRACING  CLICK THE BLUE ICON TO WATCH THE VIDEO These two pieces of work in Mandarin Chinese and English formats are inspired after explaining a part of the book, Have A Little Faith, written by Mitch Albom. Titled "The Great Tradition of Running Away," the writer describes how people run away from God. As for me, in my daily lives, I see people run away from each other, things they do not like or enjoy, issues they dislike to handle; such led to my inspiration to create such poems focusing on human relationships. Though in my works there're men and women, they can symbolize anything, anyone. Do we only want to run away from things or people we do not like? Why do we also run away from things or people we love?
