破水而出

Not wishing to disturb the passengers of MRT buying tickets, I specifically stood at a corner where I was making contact with people via calling them. during this process, I began to hear certain sounds, CLICK, CLICK, CLICK, in a continuous fashion. As I turned to look, a visually impaired male was using his cane to find his way, alongside all the walls as the fringe of the station.

由於不希望甘擾在捷運購買車票的旅客們，我特別在使用手機與人交談時，站在站外一隅，過程中，慢慢感覺著某種聲音「咖啦、咖啦」相當恆定地運作著，凝神一看，一位視障男士正使用著他的拐杖，在捷運站四週牆壁與地板的接縫處，行走他必須行走的方向。

 

 

 

With different experiences accumulated lately, amazed, I thought to myself “I’ve never thought about this before and it’s such a great lesson to be witnessing! This is their way of meandering their paths!”

不同的經驗值使得這像是我第一次看到視障人士的摸索般，而我默默想著：「多麼令人驚奇呀!!!我就如此親眼目睹了如此重要的一課—這就是他們「找路」的方式耶!!!」

 

 

 

After working with so many poor people at different parts of the world, I do not feel sorry for this man, for I know that though some people may appear to be more inferior than the “normal” people, they have their own resilience and strength to overcome any setbacks, just like the rest of us. In addition, those of us who “look normal” can have some “hidden secrets” not revealed, guaranteed, almost at certain levels, to make us “strange” or “different” in the others’ opinions.

自從嚐試在世界各地與不同膚色的貧民百姓們共進退以後，我倒不感覺替這位視障人士難過，因為我知道即便人們「看似」較為弱勢，他們也有找到自己生存之道的方法，因為他們也一樣有著克服困難的堅毅與沉著，於此同時，也許人們可以「外表」看來「正常」，然而，或許他們那些不為人知的秘密，卻恰巧使得他們在他人眼中，可以變得特立獨行。

 

 

 

Furthermore, in each and every day, we can choose to walk onto the different path, unlike the paths we are used to walk upon. That way, we are courageously and beautifully discovering more about ourselves.

除此之外，不論在任何一個時時刻刻，我們都可以決定走向和過去全然不同的路途，也由於這樣的選擇，而使得省思己身變得更加充滿冒險犯難的美感。

Gestures of Kindness Are Accumulated Through Time

 

In the past, some individuals and businesspersons who are caring about what I have done have chosen to pay for artworks made by some artists living in impoverished circumstances with whom I have bought items from; proceeds of such actions taken by the other parties result my stronger intentions to assist more and more during my journeys, in which some businesses in the developed areas have communicated with the disadvantaged individuals making those items through me. During such processes, I have learned so much and become extremely inspired. This January and February, I’ve had the honor and privilege to work with some very friendly people during this winter vacation. At one of the places, there is this particular teacher who serves as a catalyst of igniting my knowledge in knitting, and she’s allowed me to have a glimpse of her talent in that direction of her exquisitely made handbags due to some handmade presents binding ladies’ hair made by a much-respected elderly friend of mine who kindly expressed,

“I would like you to have these, so you can send my love to those who live so far away. I am but an aged woman who cannot travel overseas at this stage of my life, being more than 80 years old!” This friend of mine, a person with much artistic touch and talent in life, remarked such when I visited her at her house in my own homeland.

過去這些年承蒙一些個人、機關、團體等的照顧，一些在落後地帶生活的藝匠們的手藝以及他們的產品，才能被外界所看見，這些交易行為也直接或間接促使這些落後地區人士生活水平的逐漸提升，自然也促使我個人產生更強烈的服務大眾之心。

 

 

 

Gradually, I have learned that people can do different things on the same path of serving the others. Originated from such a concept, countless heartwarming stories are naturally generated. They are so inspirational that I wonder whether I have become “VERY HUMOROUS” in my students’ eyes because I am utterly involved in any step of such interactions along the way.

過程之中不乏業界人士的積極態度，在不斷商議能夠為其企業體引進何種樣貌的禮品、伴手禮的同時，我個人居中協調的過程也使我逐步成長、學習、邁向新的里程—我發現只要有意願，「付出」可以充滿種種不同的可能，就像有善心人士為了相關的服務案件而捐贈領帶，並在捐輸的過程裡傳來了親筆信件等等。每椿互動都是一個新穎的故事，我很懷疑是否由於自己身處這些妙趣恆生的溫馨感當中，於是不知不覺間，我成為學生眼中幽默逗趣的教師……

Works with Angels’ Touch Spreading Positive Messages Everywhere

 

When my genes of knitting are woken up all over again, series of movements are made. Some preliminary outcome are pictured here. Through some mysteriously woven moments of inspirations, surprises, and good fortune, I am convinced that aside from my actions taken to care for those who are in need, I should, without hesitation, initiate a formal brand helping to sell different products proudly made by people living in disadvantaged regions and who keep striving forward.

當在鉤織類別上的元素被挑起時，行動應運而生，目前影像檔中所呈現的是一些經過初步設計及產出的成果。

經由一些靈光乍現般的激發而產生的種種奇妙事件，使我深信自己在深度服務之餘，宜應毫不猶豫地啟動某種更為妥切的機制，來協助那些生活在貧窮線邊緣、但卻胝手胼足力爭上游的人士，販售他們的精美作品。

 

 

I am in the wish that such products touched by angels will be physically and psychologically far-reaching, serving as some healing processes for those who are not making them but who do not see the light in life, or who are struggling, while more items/products from different categories can be developed: categories like SEWING, with some fancy outcome of creativity left over there in Africa, donated and shared by someone extremely talented in the field, INTERIOR DESIGN, a task which someone visiting Kenya this summer is skillful about, mouth-watering CUISINES, another talent which can be shared by individuals visiting this same continent, Africa, this summer. Imagine that all these above-mentioned categories can make one feels like to be connected with all the strangers and family members alike. In this one big family called the humanity, perhaps we will be able to do all these things at the same time, with many, many who share with the others their know-how in different fields! How powerful it is! How much more harmony and aspirations we can all generate!

相當期待這些有溫度的物品能夠撫慰人心，並且，也希望看到這些有溫度的物品能在不同領域中發光發熱：

 

像是已有善心人士捐贈的包包類手作物，視能否激勵落後地區人士亦學習裁縫技能；

 

又或者是像室內設計這類今夏將一同造訪非洲大陸的人士所擅長的專業；

 

再或者是令人食指大動的美食，此亦為今夏將一同造訪非洲大陸的人士所擅長的技藝之一等等……

 

讓我們試著想像：

當我們所有的人不管是否非親非故，都變成一個像大家庭一般，並且同時進行著上述那些讓人們的右腦不斷運作的事項時，我們的精神層次的提升與歡樂的構築，將來到一個怎樣的地步呢?

 

 

 

Deep in the mountains of east Africa, one of my important middle-class comrades who has supported my self-initiated actions so much once told the villagers that “Hope comes here alone, out of her love for us.” Truly, it is their love making me grow, learn, evolve, and become wiser!

在東非深山之中，曾有一位十分支持我所進行的服務工作的當地中產階級有力人士，曾經如此描述著我的隻身前往：

「她之所以來到此處，是由於她的那份博愛之心對我們也想有著無微不至的照顧!!!」

只是這些非洲朋友、我在國際社會中的家人們恐怕不大理解，其實我是受惠於他們對我的愛心，於是持續如此跋山涉水的行程，來到這和煦大地的四面八方而心生景仰之情。

The Primary & Central Goal of Mine

 

Indeed, people are almost always confused by what I do for living.

“You are teaching, yeah, people of different age groups. At the same time, you are helping those living so far away voluntarily. How can this even be possible?”

誠然，人們總對我的謀生方式，感到好奇：

「妳是在教書沒錯，所教學的人士還跨了不同的年齡層。然而，妳也在世界各地義務服務他人……妳怎麼做到的呢?」

 

 

I look at the newly produced scarfs, with their patterns murmuring thousands of words, and I know based on the love I have received, whatever I do, there will be more fruitful outcome generated. From the outside, it seems I am walking like that visually impaired gentleman whom I saw at the MRT, being different, when I do things artistically and humanitarianly; however, deep down, I am aware I am guided by the sheer forces of the universe and all the positive possibilities combined, resulting my singing and dancing with the pupils who cannot stop laughing in my class sessions at various places. In a way, the trainings through the years have also made me more daring in venturing into the known. Doubtlessly, I am “just” a woman; nevertheless, my path has taught me that every single person can make a difference.

我看著那些剛剛手作生成的圍巾，以及它們那訴說著無限故事的型式，我忍不住揣想，不論我在做什麼、會做什麼，在這個世界的任何角落，相信都會有開花結果的豐富歷程。於是，也許在某種程度上，我一如那位在捷運站中摸索著的視障人士，有那麼一些不同，尤其當我在服務的道途上關關難過關關過時；但實際上，我很清楚自己是被這個宇宙中各種正向的力量所帶領，於是能夠在不同的教室當中，讓學習者與我唱唱跳跳、無限欣喜。就某種程度而言，這些年來的訓練使我願意深入不同的境域當中，開始披荊斬棘的歷程。毫無疑問地，我僅僅只是一介女流，然則我的路途所教導我的，是人人都能夠在為他人著眼的場域之中，為他人帶來無限可能的幸福、快樂、和無可比擬的願景。
