歌曲中的文字是今天無形之中產生的
歌曲中的音調是昨天突然進入腦海之中的
我不知道這些事情為何如此
我只知道自己倍受照撫的過往今來,總將平和以對
Characters inside the song are born yesterdayday, all of a sudden, so are those melodies, out of the blue, on a day like this.
I do not know why things are like the ways they are. All I know is that I am much protected and treasured, as always, as usual, and I shall face everything with much peace.
If we pay attention to details, many things in our lives
can be worthy learning and discovering.
A
I can never anticipate what people would feel about
things that are run by me unless I truly communicate with them.
Several ties are with me when I sit inside in that
classroom with my peers. We are focusing on the topic of bilingualism.
“I’ve brought some ties.” I tell my group members.
“What are they for?” They ask.
I smile. “You must have not read the work I leave inside
my blog.”
“Oh, sorry, we’re just so caught up with everything.”
Their reply goes like this.
I mention “No worries. I wish to organize those ties
before I arrive there in east Africa this year. I have the intention to use
such things for the possibility of opening business opportunities by making
them into artworks etc. To tell the truth, I will have to know about the
locals’ opinions regarding this. Hence, this journey will be like a survey,
yet, I am very poor in dissembling these ties. I notice that you can work with
much efficiency. Can you girls please help out?”
Immediately in the middle of the class they begin to use
tools to dissemble those ties which look very eye-catching.
“Doing this rids us from the pressure we have!” They
explain.
Again, this is something I have never known previously.
B
There are things we take for granted when the others
value such items a lot.
A few students are using the water dispenser which I feel
to be with troubles, for it never reaches 100 degrees Celsius.
“Water here is cold enough. Ours over there at that
building is offering warm water only.”
And here I am, thinking I would have to try another one
that is different from this one!
C In reality, kids’
emotions can result them to be like adults even when people are “merely”
children in our eyes.
“Well, if you say so, I’ll just not do anything at all!”
The 8-year-old girl says, with much anger in her tone.
The boy, her classmate, continues, “You always ask people
to listen to you. You ask us to follow your ways, but we don’t.”
Hearing their fight with one another, I ask these two to
hug each other, which they refuse. I wonder whether wars in the world also
begin from such trivial issues…
D There are
moments we just want to enjoy our life; nothing else seem to be our concern.
“It’s MEAL time! Today, the cuisines are extremely
delicious.” The homeroom teacher of that girl indicates.
Immediately, the girl who does not want to rise from the
floor at first jumps up from the ground and rushes ahead back to her classroom
serving herself the lunch she wants.
E The very
classroom where I teach right now have windows which people can see through at
both sides. Daily, many students are eager to greet me when they come back and
forth. Feeling like am ambassador, I wave both sides quite frequently to all
those pupils who make me feel like royalty. Some like to greet me very loudly,
almost shouting at the top of their lungs, whereas the others would be waving
at me with much silence.
A co-worker comments on my popularity by stating “Look at
how much students love you!”
Another states that “It’s because of your much animated
class hours that the students are captivated, spell-bound by you.”
The reality is as the very teacher myself, I am confused
by the moments students fall into laughter, as I am often puzzled by the exact
part(s) of my class hour(s) with them making them laugh like that. The truth
is, most of the time they laugh so loud that I feel disturbed during the class
sessions since I can turn out to neglect the things I need to say. Therefore, I
usually ask them to just quietly smile to themselves. The result is many
students of mine would be shaking their bodies impulsively when they need to
suppress their laughter.
F It is always a
task to brighten the room with much laughter. “Searching for a smile to share
it.” It is a slogan I read somewhere and I like very much. To be very frank, there
are always moments we would like to fight for our own rights, believing that we
deserve them. In fact, there can be people who do not even have the opportunity
to voice their rights nor concerns, for they are the voiceless. My wealth is
that I have had the opportunities to mingle with those who are extremely
voiceless while learning from them.
“Can you keep providing us scholarships?” A few students
who have grown older ask.
“It is better for us to give than to receive. I want to
see you become more independent, not relying on donors like me or anyone else.”
I reply.
Considering about the whole matter for a while, I hear
them tell me “We will welcome you for sure. We hope to have the pleasure to
meet you by sitting down to discuss about what we can all do to make things
better.”
I like this attitude and idea very much. It is such power
within that gives us the courage to pave more roads ahead of us.
I would like to tell them “I’ll look forward to seeing
you again. Meanwhile, please source those books and bags brought to your
regions (like Oloilalei and Lenkisim) before I am there. Those are donated by
some kind-hearted individuals for people your regions to do research about.
Perhaps from there, we will be able to create some artworks with market values."
