我一直覺得溫暖與關懷的語言是跨界--跨過了國界和專業的不同疆界。I often feel that warmth and care are without boundaries or borders. 

常常被問到：「台灣有很多需要幫助的人，妳做了什麼嗎? 為什麼一定要到海外去?」

I am often asked "What have you done for those who are in need in Taiwan? Why do you have to go overseas to help outsiders?" 

我會大言不慚地說，能夠透過種種工作面向，而在台與許多不同年齡層、行業別人士交流、教學相長，或者開展他們的國際交流視野，就是我對台灣社會的貢獻。

Shamelessly, I would mention that for all those in the society in Taiwan whom I have shared my knowledge with, perhaps through an expansion of our joint worldview would be my contribution to the society where I grow up. 

而海外之所以要服務，是由於我始終從無法想像的低生活條件中，看到人性最光輝的互動模式，令我著迷，希望持續在這個生命的試鍊過程中，不斷學習、精進、提升自己的能力和產值。

As for those overseas, based on their low living standards unimagined in my path of life, contrasting their senses of self-respect, humor and their wish to strive forward, I would like to keep serving them so I would keep learning, polishing myself, and alternate my capabilities as well as productivities. 

當然，這是相當簡單的說法，簡單到我相信我在世界各地的那些「靈魂伴侶」們，會替我發展出更加強而有力的解說模式。

Of course, this is some very simple way of expressing what I am focusing on.  In other words, those who understand me more than myself, those SOUL MATES of mine, should be able to offer better interpretations regarding this matter. 

但最終，因為能夠產生溫度，因為可以不斷調整，所以時時刻刻在有溫度的調整中，把更多的時間和精神，放在更有價值的事情之上，讓這個世界充滿更多溫暖和關懷。所以創作出這樣的作品，所以要把粉紅色的幸福感傳達給許許多多世界上的不同人種。

In the end, because there is such warmth and adjustments made, during many forms of warmth and adjustments, I can put my time and energy into things that are more meaningful, delivering more warmth and care to the world. 

Perhaps that is one of the reasons this work filled with the color of pink is born. I am with the intention to spread such bliss and merriment as many places as I can! 

This is a piece of artwork painted and written by myself, Hope Wang. The wording are mainly about my attitude and observation in serving the others throughout the years. The Chinese characters have formed into a poem making translation a bit too challenging at this moment. However, I will endeavor to try some time later.

源起 Origins	一 在印尼的都會及窮鄉僻壤，貧富差異極大，以「外國人」的角度曾與他們了解與接觸時，當地村民期待看到更多良善的外來人士，到當地與他們互動，並透過旅遊振興他們的在地經濟條件……  I  Gaps between the rich and poor in Indonesia can be huge. Traveling there as foreigners stimulate these local villagers’ morale, with the prospects of their economic situations boosted. 二 印尼當地些許中產階級者，樂於和外籍人士攜手打造家園美好未來，並透過國際交流，顯現不同人種間交流之美好。 II  Certain middle class in Indonesia wish to work with foreigners for the betterment of their countrymen, particularly those living under poverty levels.     照片說明：當地人婚宴，圖中左三為與台灣相關人士合作，助益當地有力的退休校長。This photo shows a wedding of the locals. 為何我和親朋好友可以考慮這樣的行程 Why Should We Consider About Such A Journey	一 印尼人文色彩豐富多樣，地質、地貌與他處不同，當地迷人的地景，等待尋寶及探索，極為適合樂山樂水者進行生態及文化之旅。 I  The versatilities of Indonesia in terms of its culture and geography can be charming enough for outsiders to search for treasures during a journey involved in ecology, culture and service learning.   二 印尼之貧困人口樂天知命外，願意接受挑戰提升生活水平的企圖心，值得外界人士進行服務學習之旅。 II  In terms of learning through serving the others, those from Indonesia are optimistic and willing to take challenges despite of some of their less fortunate living environments.   三 在印尼有著並非旅行團所到達之處所，造訪者反而能夠以純粹的目光和文化傳承，豐富外來者視野，並以相對於遊學或者觀光而言少量的旅費，一樣透過語言及種種交流達成學習與溝通之目的，但又超出於自助行的多方接觸和了解，既享受遊學或觀光旅程中的成份，亦得以助益當地生態保育及教育發展，學會尊重各種生命型態、接觸未經過多污染的大自然而減少使用數位產品、珍惜物資、及食品營養相關之身體保健等等，一舉數得。 III  There are places in Indonesia where not the tourist groups from outside their world would reach. Visitors can then in return to appreciate the cultural heritage from unique perspectives. By spending a lot lesser than a fancier tourist group, a language learning journey focusing on home-stay as well as learning English inside classrooms, or self-guided tours, this sort of journey almost always elevate people’s worldview. It helps individuals taking part in such a journey to appreciate all forms of living beings, make contact with Mother Nature while dwindling the amount of time or energy on digital devices, cherishing resources and becoming heathier. In short, the benefits are manifolds.

Prior to traveling to Indonesia, kindly visit the website created by either your own government or that of the Indonesia listing related regulations. Passport should be valid for at least six months upon arriving Indonesia.   三 未成年人士及年長人士宜應由家屬陪同前往。 III  Minors should be accompanied by parents and/or relatives.   四 未免水土不服，建議腸胃較敏感者可自台灣多攜帶沖泡式方便米、泡麵等食用。如有必要，可先至台灣之旅遊科門診看醫師以了解用藥等。 IV  To avoid dietary problems, it is highly recommended to carry instant rice, noodles and so on while traveling. If needed, please consult family doctors.   五 請自備水壺與輕便餐具(便於山區無餐具時使用)。 V  Please prepare easy-to-carry water bottle and culinary kit in case no culinary tools are ready to use.

當地消費問題 Spending Money in Indonesia	由於抵達當地之前團費已然收齊，故當地之食、宿等一併由團費支出，於日常生活中如至觀光景點消費可刷信用卡，如需現金使用，可自行換匯備用。For the fees of 100 USD per person per day cost incurred due to this journey, it covers what should be spent daily on accommodation, transportation, water, food and so on. For the other expenses incurred, please prepare cash (to be traded locally from USD) or credit card(s).
在當地，參與者可為當地人做些什麼 For Those Who Participate, What Can Be Done?	擬將透過任何當地校內、業界等安排，讓參與者在各種方面的專業知能(如醫療、美育教育及實作手工製品、財務、華人文化與華語等等)，傳承給當地不同社會經濟地位及年齡層的人士。 Visitors with any professional skills such as medical, artifacts, finance, technology, languages and so on are welcome to share and teach any knowledge to the villagers and/or pupils. 照片說明：當地學校教育場景其中之一 This photo is about one education setting inside a school there.

預計特別活動 Special Event Estimated To Be Held	除每日行程外，擬將舉辦第一屆「國際各界服務交流分享會」，廣邀世界各地人士參與 Aside from itinerary held daily, it is in the organizers’ intention to hold the “First Service Learning Sharing Event Worldwide,” with every person and/or organization in the global village invited.
行前規畫 Planning Ahead	一 將適時安排或實體或線上行前訓練、行前說明等活動。 Activities or ideas exchanged prior to the journey will be held physically or on-line.   二 建議有意前往當地之人士，如先前隊友們所建議，多多上網查找相關於在地整體生活或工作等作經驗分享時，可先做足功課，有備無患。 It is highly recommended that those who wish to take the journey to search for necessary, related information before taking the journey. Enough mental preparation can make the journey even more meaningful.
