信念影響意志與取決未來 Our Belief Shapes Our Willpower and Future Life

 

It’s the sports day today where I am teaching now. The event ended by noon, whereas I am still absorbed in the atmosphere of the event.

全校學生的「體育表演會」圓滿落幕了，裡面的片片斷斷令人感到生命中的活力。

 

 

「老師好，我們來看妳了!!!」前前後後幾群不同的畢業生進到教室。

“Hello Dear Teacher, we are here to visit you.” Some students arrived inside my classroom.

"Hi, you must be our kids' bilingual Life Curriculum teacher. They are so happy to be taught by you. They told us you are a very sweet and gentle person whom they enjoy learning a lot from." When I was walking inside our much-populated campus today, some parents stopped me. 

「老師好，小朋友們告訴我們您是他們的雙語生活老師，他們說被您教到之後，上課很愉快，也學到很多……」在今天特別湧進許許多多賓客的校園走著走著，遇到一群家長和他們的孩子們的時候，我們有了這樣的談話內容。

Other than these, when I spotted any student taught by me, I would automatically approach these parents, praising their kids for their participation in the classes I have taught. 

除此之外，如果在校園內看到正在被我教到、或者曾經被我教過的學生們，和他們的父母走在一塊兒，我會主動向前，感謝這些家長們帶到這個世界上來的這些學生們，與我一起在教室當中教學相長。

我想起一個畫面是在落後地區國家服務時衍生的。Then, I remember a scene taking place during my journey serving the needed in the very poor nations. 

"Hope, do you know why we allow you to help me?" Elderly in that village asked me. 

「請問妳知道為何我們選擇讓妳到此服務嗎?」 在那個村落裡面的長者們這樣問我。

Of course I did not have a clue, especially I was unaware that they'd choose people for the opportunity to assist them. This means not everyone is welcome. 

當然我毫無頭緒，更令我訝異的，是他們會選擇要不要接受他人協助、以及選擇對象是誰。

Under this kind of circumstance (of me being confused by their motivation), they expressed that "We can feel you have that very positive attitude in you. It is a source of power that can benefit all of us here. This kind of power can bring us much prosperity. That is why we believe in you."

在這種我根本弄不清狀況的情形之中，他們表示

「我們完全感受得到每一個人的內心狀態，而妳擁有非常正面的態度，這種力量會使我們全體受惠，所以，我們感到必須相信妳!」

This returns to one of my students' reflection, that after knowing I often pray for my students regardless of the situation, this student expressed that "To be aware that you are sending us prayers, I am more confident in myself and things I do." 

這種想法回到我自己的學生身上，尤其在他們知道我常常(在沒有任何宗教導向的情況之下)為他們祈福禱告之後，有人告訴我說：

「因為知道老師您會為我們祈禱，我們常常突然之間就變得有自信、有信念可以突破種種挑戰了!」

A colleague of mine was surprised by the fact students taught by me would greet me loudly, all of them. To me, it is not surprising at all, for I am convinced that they see through me a better future, healthier body, and grander dreams. 目前的同仁裡面在看到不斷有學生們和我高聲打招呼後，問我怎麼會這樣? 不過對我而言，這件事情一點都不古怪，其主因是我從來都相信，學生們是透過了我而見到他們生命中充滿健康及陽光的種種可能。

所以，每一天我的默默祝福，從來沒有間斷過，為了我所認識的人、為了我所不認識的人、為了鰥寡孤獨、為了處境不堪的物種。That is why there is not even one day that I skip sending my best wishes to all those who suffer, be them humanity or other species. 

「老師，妳的無憂無慮來自妳的認真到位，所以妳過著問心無愧的生活，我們一般人達不到。」一位我認識的老闆這樣說……

"I feel that your seemingly carefree attitude comes from your dedication towards many lives, leading to your own good fortune without regrets. These are what we cannot attain." One boss I know has pointed this out. 

我無法定義此事，不過我笑笑回答著：「不可能十全十美，但總可以盡心盡力做一些可以做的、該做的，老闆您說是嗎?」

I cannot define his comment. Nevertheless, I smiled when I replied back. "It is impossible to be perfect, yet I can still do my best to make things better because of me. Correct?"
