故事背後的故事~~~
Background of this story--
Currently I am teaching something very new, without a formal framework, for those who are around 7 years old. With the foreign teacher from the US teaching in the same classroom weekly for about 50% of the course, we have worked on certain linguistic parts of the lesson, namely, WIND. With such collaboration, my imaginations soar, leading to the production of this second story dubbed INSTANT-NOODLE FLIGHT ATTENDANT in the INSTANT-NOODLE FLIGHT, as well as the song for the students to learn in a more meaningfully inspirational way.
受到目前任教單位青睞，實感榮幸並且感恩。
因為教了一個新興的科目，且這個科目目前談論到「風」，合作的外籍教師在看不懂中文教材與被我鼓勵的同時，開發了她想教學的面向，而我就她所談及的「今天天氣如何」，後續引發這一次的教學內容設計，包括用自創的歌謠談天氣、談來自何方，以及未來鼓勵沒有什麼教學經驗的她，在我們通力合作的情況之下，運用這些字句讓學生看看世界、想想自己的想法，應運而生。
上一週，非常驚險刺激地來到一個竟然在第一節下課，就有幾名學生直接退選我的課程的中學，這在我的教學歷程中從來沒有發生過……仔細推敲，應該是整體學習意願低落，看到英語就倒退嚕的學生，撞上了我這個已經透過和各方合作，把他們其中一些同儕帶出向心力、英語進取心的同時，而大膽嚐試了通常不會在第一節課程中，放入的學習方式所致。
他們從教室中「出走」雖然讓我有些驚嚇，但轉而想想，如果沒有他們同儕的成功經驗值，甚至和其他學生們相處的成功經驗值，在這種服務案件中我所動用到的智慧與體力，應該會耗損甚廣；所以，非但沒有沉浸在不愉快之中，我反而持續在感動了一大堆小小朋友的「蟑螂先生」一文之後，繼續創作了現在這個作品。
除此之外，在課餘時間研究幾本完全不同主題的書籍之後，呼之欲出的靈感將我帶到了這首WHERE IS THE WIND FROM 「風從哪兒來的呀? 」的創作世界中。
想像學生們在年幼時因為受到良質的激發，而願意冒險在英語的路徑上前進的話，那麼，身為一位教育他們的人，就有相當的價值；
如果透過合作的力量，讓不同文化的人們可以相互交流，這就實踐了我在異國時與各個膚色人士產生共鳴的美好畫面，總是讓人再三動容。

Prelude 前言
在先前的故事裡面，鐵達尼老師和欣欣是主角；他們在現實生活裡面卻居住在一個非常神秘的地方，這個，日後大家就會知道了。
在這個故事裡面要分享的，是晧璞老師身為一位空姊時候的故事，而這個故事，正巧也和「風」有關係哦。
In the
previous story, Miss Titanic and Xin and Xin are the main characters; in
reality, they live somewhere very mysterious, which shall be revealed at the
proper moment.
I’d like
to share with you, though, something happened to me when I worked as a flight
attendant.
Again,
this has something to do with the WIND, the thing that we are altogether learning inside the classes right
now.
壹
怎麼會搭上泡麵班機呢?
Why would
people take the instant-noodle flight?
怎麼會有泡麵空姊的出現呢?
How come
would there be instant-noodle flight attendant?
原來，這也和我們正在探索的「風」有關係。
It turns
out that it also has something to do with the WIND we currently investigate!
是什麼風把我吹了過去，成為了一個空姊呢? 這是個令人心曠神怡的議題。這會不會和我從小就因為種種原因而感覺瑟縮，不敢接受別人的稱讚，有直接的關係呢? 畢竟，也許老天爺看我那個樣子看不下去了，所以讓我在百般困難的甄選過程中脫穎而出成為空姊，也不無可能。
The reason
why I turned out to be a flight attendant for a while is a topic appealing to
some people I have known. Does it have anything to do with the fact when I grew
up, I was intimidated by praises from the others due to my lack of confidence?
Perhaps someone controlling the Universe could not stand the way I was; as a
result, I was selected under the intensive competition to be a formal flight
attendant…
在飛機上服務的我，沒想到常常受到中外乘客的大聲讚揚。裡面常常有人問我：
「是什麼風把妳吹來當空姊的? 看妳這個樣子，比做一般空姊的人還有水平耶!」
When I
served the passengers, I often received compliments such as
“You look
different from the other flight attendants. What ‘WIND’ has brought you here?”
When these people using Chinese as their mother tongue stated such an
expression in Chinese, metaphorically speaking, they would leave the word
“WIND” inside the sentence. The position of the WIND in the sentence is
supposed to indicate the unpredictable nature of such an action etc.
這讓我感到實不敢當—世上選擇擔任空姊的人很多，他們當中必定有水平比我高出許多的人。
I was much
humbled by such comments: “Certainly there are many, many other flight
attendants who are more outstanding than me.” I would think to myself.
會不會是乘客看我比較好說話，常常喜歡找我要一些機艙中的小東西如紀念品、或者零嘴、罐裝飲料等呢? 我一向非常樂於滿足這些乘客的需求，所以，他們是否便會對我說一些好話，當作獎勵呢?
Can it be
that the passengers often asked me for the souvenirs, snacks, canned drinks and
so on as they felt I was kinder, whereas in return, I almost always catered
their requests, leading them to express something nicely to me?
II 貳
風從哪裡來?
Where is
the wind from?
Whatever
that was, something very crucial needs to be considered before this story is
revealed.
不論如何，有件事卻很值得在故事繼續說下去之前，認真思考思考：
Have you
ever thought about where the wind is from if we are in a building, in a space,
in an environment when there is no natural wind but from time to time, even the
windows are closed? Surely when there are windows, they can be opened.
Nevertheless, what happens when all the windows are closed?
各位曾經想像過，如果我們身處於一個密閉的人造空間，我們呼吸吐納之間所需的空氣，來自何方呢?
當然，如果有窗戶，可以開窗，但是如果窗戶全部緊閉呢?
Of course,
inside the cabin of an aircraft, there is no window that can be opened. The
reason is very technically scientific that I cannot explain fully based on my
background. However, mainly, the pressure inside out the cabin would be
different, making it impossible to “open” the window inside the cabin.
當然，飛機的機艙內部雖然有「窗戶」，但那可是不能夠真正打開的窗戶，充其量，也只能調整一下明暗，讓外面的光是否要透或者不透進來呢!
可是，為什麼不能打開窗戶?
這個原理實在非常物理而且科學，已經超出我個人的智力範圍的感覺，不過，簡單來說，就是飛機飛在三萬五千英呎的高空，外面的溫度總在零下，一開窗戶，機艙就會失壓，造成班機的危險情況，這也就是為何飛機上的窗戶統統不能真正打開的主要原因!
而且，在正常情況下，機艙內外的壓力差別太大，要打開那一扇窗，應該是不大可能的。
When we
cannot even open the window, when there are usually so many passengers on
board, what can we do when we want to breathe?
既然不能開窗，那麼，飛機上面的風到底從哪裡而來呢?
為什麼我們可以感到飛機上面的涼颼颼或者暖烘烘?
Indeed,
the temperatures were from the ventilations inside the cabin; behind all these,
there would be air conditioners installed for such adjustments of temperatures.
Without them, human beings cannot safely move about inside the cabin, and no
one could survive inside any airplane which is flying on altitudes roughly 35,000
ft., with the temperatures outside the cabin below zero degree Celsius. Hence,
inside each aircraft, delicate air conditioner is established to offer the
pressurized cabin sufficient amount of fresh air. It is so delicate that once,
when the aircraft I served stood idled on the airport, waiting for the
technician to fix the air conditioner inside the cabin, I could feel how
important that air conditioner was after about 5 hours of maintenance. During
that period of time, passengers could not leave the aircraft due to the related
regulations. Even though we served them beverages and snacks, everybody became
so uncomfortably hot or even irritated as a result of the heat since we were in
the Middle East!
原來一架一架的飛機，總有非常精密的空調設備! 沒有如此精良的空調設施，所有的人在機上都無法存活呢! 舉例而言，有一次在中東的某個國際機場，當時我所服務的航班因為空調系統突然故障，整整維修了五個小時左右! 乘客已經上機，礙於法令規章，又不能再請他們下機一次，大家苦苦在機上等侯，酷暑般的天侯把每個人都折磨得非常沒有耐性，就算空服人員一直端上飲料及點心，乘客們還是怨聲載道。
如果發生在半空中，這可怎麼辦呢?
What if the air conditioner stopped working while flying in the air?
這些我們視為理所當然的事情，原來，是這麼的並非理所當然啊!!!
Without doubt, important matters are often those that we may take for granted in our lives.
叁 III
泡麵班機上面的泡麵空姊?!
Instant-Noodle Flight Attendant in the Instant-Noodle Flight?
One day,
in a long haul flight, we were supposed to fly to a world-famous tourist spot.
有一天我們的飛機是個長程班機，當大家在機上服務時，可以感覺得出來要飛往目的地的乘客們個個都非常興奮，因為那是一個全球知名的度假盛地!!!
The
atmosphere inside the cabin was so relaxed and comfortable, as all the
passengers seemed to be excited that they were flying somewhere paradise-like. Whirling
like winds, all of us flight attendants went away from the galleys, or kitchens inside aircrafts,
to serve the passengers as efficiently as possible. It was often the wish of the
supervisors that we could have served the passengers in such speedy fashion in
which every single person enjoyed his/her meal and beverage served. After even
the coffee, tea, red and white wine were served, the trays containing all the
utensils and from time to time, leftover from the passengers, were collected, a
little bit later, the cabin was adjusted with only dim lights left, alongside
with a different temperature targeting at providing the passengers with a cozy
environment where they would like to take a nap on board. Aware of these,
flight attendants like me would begin consuming meals while passengers
fell into silence.
身為空服人員的我們，通常極有效率且動作很快，先是把餐點都上完，再把茶水、咖啡、紅白酒都走完，接著就是在一面加送飲料時，一面觀察客人是否都吃完了餐點、用罷了飲料，而當大部份的乘客都已經吃飽喝足，就到了我們該收餐的時間啦!!!我們把推車立在機艙走道上；左邊、右邊、右邊、左邊，一個個乘客的餐盤和飲料杯、罐等，就全部收到我們的服務手推車中了。
這個時候會有空服人員負責把客艙溫度變化一些，那種讓乘客們睡起覺來會非常舒服的溫度，以及負責把燈光也調整到昏昏暗暗，讓人忍不住會打起瞌睡來的那種昏黃色的燈光，這時，空服人員們也會坐下來享用機上餐點。
Soon
afterwards, when these flight attendants completed their respective meal, they
would begin cruising around the cabin by providing passengers with beverages
prepared inside the galleys. From time to time, these flight attendants also
cleaned the bathrooms or dubbed lavatories inside the airplanes where hygiene
could be significant. Inside the lavatories, clearly, anyone could sense air
coming out of somewhere, making loud noises.
在乘客用完餐點後巡視機艙的空服人員們，仍會在機上廚房裡面準備必要的點心和飲料。偶爾，這些空服人員也會清理一下洗手間，而在飛機上的洗手間裡面，每個人都可以感覺得到空調從不知明的空隙裡面發散出來。
Similarly,
next to the light above each and every seat, there would be areas for the air
to come out; while some people opted for a total release of cool air from it, others
would just switch it off to make sure no wind would be from the device. Despite
each of us seemed to enjoy varied sources of air, the fact that we were all
inside the same cabin ensured we were under the same conditioner system providing us
with that air we all breathed.
同樣的，在每個座位的附近、上方等等，乘客們也可以感覺得到「有風跑出來」哦! 尤其是在他們的頭頂上方，就有可以把冷氣全部調到不見蹤影，或者讓冷氣又出現的出風口。
Whereas
some passengers dozed off after the meal and beverages were served, a few
others were still awake, either talking to their companions or watching movies.
As usual, as flight attendants, we prepared more drinks by pouring the juice or
water inside the plastic cups on board.
不過，可能由於要去世界知名觀光景點的乘客實在太興奮了，有些人就算吃完晚餐也睡不著，仍在昏暗的機艙中小聲的談天說地，好不愉快。當然，身為空服人員的我們，這時候就必須端著飲料，看看哪位乘客有所需要。
Thinking
about all these elements connecting our experiences in a flying journey made me
wonder the wonder of life. All of a sudden, on my way back to the galley after
making sure the lavatories were neat, I was stopped by a few passengers who
were still awake.
“We feel
hungry. Do you think if there’s anything we can eat?” One of them said.
想著這些彼此環環相扣的細節，使我非常怡然自得。突然，也同時服務著這些乘客、巡視著客艙的我，感受到乘客的呼叫：
「請問有沒有東西可以吃? 我們幾個餓了!」幾位沒有睡著的乘客，看我走到他們附近時這樣告訴我。
Smiling, I
pointed out “Certainly. I will be right back.”
我以笑容回應了他們的問題：「好的，請稍等一下哦。」
Immediately
after I reached the galley, I broke the news of some passengers asking for food
to eat to the other flight attendants. A supervisor on duty that flight, being a quite sweet, kind person
herself, this lady whom I had first had the pleasure working on board with marked, “Why don’t we bring them some instant noodles?”
我急速回到廚房裡面，將有乘客感到飢腸轆轆的消息告知了其他空服人員，其中一位我第一次一起飛行，但是非常有耐心的上司說：
「我們就讓他們吃些泡麵如何呢?」
Everyone
believed it was an awesome idea, for it would be the first time such snacks were
equipped on any flight. From there, we elegantly prepared three cups of instant
noodles for these passengers who were much delighted. These instant noodles
equipped on board of aircrafts operated by the certain airline I worked at were
new inside the cabins; it was, therefore, a new experience for everyone
involved when it comes to serving passengers. Nonetheless, it’s such a pleasure sharing something like that with
our invaluable guests!
大家都感到這是個不錯的點子，於是我們動作優雅但迅速確實地準備了三碗杯麵，而這還是我們所服務的航班之中，第一次配備有這樣的點心呢! 好東西要和好朋友分享不是嗎? 雖然乘客們與我們互不相識，但在一個長程航班之中，大家彼此照應也是理所當然的呀!
What we
did not expect was how the WIND or AIR inside the cabin would work its way
through the entire incident. The only thing we knew in the next few minutes was
after those three passengers began eating their instant noodles, almost all the
passengers in the economy class, fully packed that day, were gradually waking
up, specifically, after the aroma of instant noodles filled the
entire space. One after another, passengers were asking for instant noodles,
resulting us to frantically unpack each and every cup noodles in the galleys.
Furthermore, two senior flight attendants went to the first class to ask for a
kind of large tea pot enabling us to use it to hold as much hot water as
possible when we served the passengers with the instant noodles: hot water was required for the instant noodles to be served, unless there are stoves to cook them.
但我們沒有料到的，是這三杯泡麵從廚房一出去，三位乘客一打開享用之後，機艙裡面的空氣就吹呀~~~吹呀~~~吹呀~~~把那些杯麵撲鼻而來的香味，全部掃進了沉睡中的乘客的嗅覺系統裡面。
人類的嗅覺怎麼會讓他們從睡夢中起床呢? 這是我第一次感受到「好香的食物」所誘發的魅力如此強大，震懾住了每一位乘客似的，大家全部像被仙女棒一下子點醒，全部開始像被附身一樣，抬起手來按下「空服人員服務鈴」，此起彼落的聲音會在廚房中被我們身為空服人員的人聽到，所以，我們必須去查看每一位乘客到底怎麼了。
「我也要一碗泡麵。」每個乘客都像中蠱了一樣，對我們有同樣的要求。
At the
moment, I truly thought I became an “Instant-Noodle” flight attendant working
inside an instant noodle-flight for passengers desperately wishing to taste
that cup of instant noodles!
頓時，我深深感到自己在泡麵班機上成為了一位泡麵空姊，即將推著泡麵推車，為每一位泡麵乘客，端上一杯泡麵班機上面的泡麵!
In a very
cooperative fashion, all of us walked pass each and every row, providing those
passengers requesting instant noodles one cup of them. The WIND and AIR inside
the cabin kept working hard, making sure now that the cabin of economy class
was filled with the smell of instant noodles. Shortly afterwards, flight
attendants from other cabins came and told us that the other passengers in
their respective cabins also woke up, asking for instant noodles.
何出此言?
因為我們即始動作得飛快，也趕不上乘客們按服務鈴呼叫空服人員們的速度，所以，有些空服人員必須衝回客艙回應乘客，另一些則披頭散髮在廚房裡面瘋狂而快速把每個杯麵包裝拆封、把調味料倒入、把湯匙和筷子從包裝裡面掏出來。
我們像加工工廠裡面的工人，機械式地作著反覆一樣的動作，畢竟，整個經濟艙裡面就有好幾百名乘客，而現在他們全部起床了，像活過來的木乃伊，睡眼惺松地跟我們要泡麵吃!!!
除了這樣之外，我們還必須到前艙去把一個大茶壺給搬到經濟艙，以最有效率的方式把熱水從廚房中接出來，把泡麵塞到既沒有裝了剛剛吃完飯後的盤子和垃圾一堆的推車中，也不可以把泡麵塞到另一種還沒有服務、裡面仍沒有放熱點的新推車當中，否則，等等就沒辦法將早點侍奉給這些貴客了!!!
所以，資深的空服人員不知從哪裡搬來了一種只有一般服務時手推車一半高度的推車，上面可以放著熱水壺到水，其他的地方則放著被我們開啟而加工過的杯麵。
Whether
the carts were with waste previously collected after the meal time in the same
flight or the new meal sets yet to be served, there were no carts for the hot
tea pot or noodles. Like magicians, though, a few senior flight attendants
brought a kind of cart only half way through the normal sizes of trolley or
cart we currently used. On top of it, the tea pot with boiled water proudly stood;
below, dozens of cups containing instant noodles rested there, waiting to
pacify someone’s appetite.
我們足足繞行了經濟艙八次才全部服務完畢!
How many
time did we have to circle around the economy class to serve the instant noodles?
Eight!
Why eight
time? It seemed some people were awakened by the delicious smell of instant
noodles immediately; on the contrary, the others woke up a bit slower, yet sooner or
later, they would request that "special cup" triggering their tasting buds.
為何是八次呢? 有些人的嗅覺似乎很靈敏，一下就起床了；有些人的嗅覺不大靈敏，或者機艙裡面的風沒有把泡麵的味道散布給他們，所以他們醒來的時間較遲一些。
但不論早起晚起，每個睡夢中的人都要求一碗杯麵。而他們吃完之後，彷彿又回到某種咒語的世界，幾乎馬上呼呼大睡。
Whether
the passengers ate earlier or later, these passengers fell asleep once they
completed their instant noodles, as if they were mummies waking up for a task!
在這種情況下，我們又不能把機艙的燈大放光明，因為睡著的、起來要求吃泡麵的人，時間不大一樣，並且這也不是正式的餐點，所以為了尊重乘客，機上的燈光還是昏昏暗暗。
Upon the
moment passengers were enjoying the instant noodles, light in the cabin was
still dim, in the respect of those who were still sleeping or who had just
finished eating before they dozed off. Hot water became something I dreaded
there, for I felt like a clown inside a circus, fearing I would burn my legs or
hands with that kind of liquid.
在昏黃的燈光之中倒熱水，像在馬戲團裡面表演特技一樣，我真怕會把自己的腿或手給弄到灼傷!!!
During our
De-briefing after landing while sitting on the bus, even the captain and
co-pilots mentioned the instant noodles.
“We could
smell them from the cockpit. As a result, each of us asked one cup which we
delightedly enjoyed.”
那趟班機在到達目的地之後的工作檢討會報中，連機長都說：
「我們在駕駛艙中聞到了泡麵的香味，忍不住也都叫了一杯來嚐鮮。」
是的，您沒有聽錯，當杯麵在經濟艙如火如荼地野火遼原時，香味四溢，飛機內部的空調系統把這陣風吹到了頭等艙和商務艙，於是，整架飛機變成名副其實的泡麵班機!!!
Indeed,
the air inside the cabin was blown to the cockpit, too. It was an actual
instant-noodle flight for real!
其他空服人員也都吃了一杯，但我卻例外了。
Me?
No, I never
ate any of it. Perhaps I was just joyful when I saw those faces on board of the
plane were quite joyful when they enjoyed the instant noodles: I was busy
spending time to pray they would have a wonderfully safe journey ahead of them;
simultaneously, I hope manufacturers producing any brands of instant noodles
can make them really healthy, not junk food, as with the amount of plastic garbage from
human consumptions inside the airplanes, we can build so many tunnels
connecting the Mother Earth with the other planets!
我只是心滿意足看著所有的乘客開心享用著他們的點心，也就是那碗杯麵，同時，我也希望那些製造出泡麵的商人們，可以了解他們所製作的食品的威力，在製作的同時，能夠秉著良心，製造出有營養價值的泡麵，以及想一些辦法讓人們不要因為食用泡麵而無端製造出更多垃圾，如此，我就心滿意足了。
I hope
that in the future, we do not need to serve passengers with instant noodles, or
else we’ll all be very exhausted.” One colleague of mine mentioned after we
arrived at the fancy hotel in the destination.
「希望未來不要再伺侯乘客們吃泡麵了，否則，手真痠，腳更痠。」抵達高級飯店後，一位同事這樣說。
Do I have
a picture of me working as an instant-noodle flight attendant?
在我的心中，有沒有一個畫面，是我身為泡麵空姊的模樣呢?
You bet!
In my mind, I have pictured myself wearing instant-noodle hairstyle, dressing
in instant noodles, with the shoes looking like instant noodles, too!
當然有啊!!!
我幻想著自己頭上頂著泡麵，身上的制服是泡麵作成，腳上的鞋子是泡麵鞋，絲襪是泡麵襪，在泡麵班機上服務著許許多多泡麵乘客!
我幻想自己頂著一頭泡麵，在泡麵班機上服務我的泡麵乘客們的模樣……
I imagined
wearing the hair looking like instant noodles to serve my passengers who look
like the instant noodles themselves.
而且，時不時還有機艙裡面的風向我吹了過來，把我的泡麵打扮弄得更加龍飛鳳舞呢!
From time
to time, there is wind from the cabin blowing to me by making my instant-noodle
outfit more instant-noodle like!
“It will
be greater if I can feed those who are true hungry something nutritious, if the
wind can carry me to those different places in the world.” I thought to myself
silently.
我在內心默默地想著：「如果真的能夠乘風而去，為所有世上飢餓的人們提供溫飽，那就好了呀!」
