草木有本心 The Most Delicate Lies Within

When I was determined I would be focusing on education for my entire life, I imagined myself teaching people when I am quite old, physically speaking. Never would I have imagined, however, along the road, up to this minute, when most people believe I should be teaching at colleges and universities like I used to, I can enjoy spending time with students who are around 10 years old. 

當我立志成為一位教育領域從業人員時，我幻想著自己到了極為年長，卻仍在教書的景況。

不過我卻沒有料到在這條路上行走的時候，當很多人認為我該停在大專教書，不該回到小學教育的現場時，我卻發現自己和這些十歲左右的學生們，有極為優質的互動，好像作著更深度的服務，把我的義務視角拉回自己的土地一般。

It is a solid test to my professional skills--how quickly can you move a few dozen students in a big class to a level that they can learn sufficiently? In less than a month, I have found I can make it inside an elementary of my hometown. 

對我而言，這是一種具體而紮實的測試：

妳需要多少時間，才能感動一大群學生呢?

我的答案是以不到一個月的時間，在一所我家鄉的小學裡面，大部份我所任教的學生，可以透過接觸我，而感受到英語學習的樂趣。同時，我也享受著與他們相處的過程!!!

「Hope老師什麼人都能教，要愈快讓她教到愈好!」  一位朋友這樣與別人急切說著。

"Hope can teach anyone. The sooner people are taught by her, the better!" A friend of mine urgently told the others. 

I chose that elementary school since I spent my turbulent adolescence years there in the region as a young lady. Entering the region now, however, I am very peaceful and I am willing to give, as if I work as a volunteer inside that school. I enjoy the students' company quite a lot: vice versa--we often have so much laughter in our classroom seeing 8 classes coming and going. 

這次我所選擇的小學，位處於我那動盪不安少女時期的同一個學區；然而今日的我舊地重「遊」，卻有著極其篤定和平靜的心靈。

For someone like me, to be able to touch everybody's heart is my aim. Guess what? By the time I am in my twilight years, I will enjoy teaching people of all age levels even more!

我的揣想是，當我年事已高，應該將更為享受教學相長的樂趣，因為，和人接觸、與人互動、使之產生轉變，是我極其喜愛的一個區塊。

多麼幸福，我可以擁有這樣的生命力!!! 

How lucky I am that I have lived like this!!!

好玩的是，二年級幾位小朋友到我的教室裡面大喊：「老師，我們班某某某說妳很好看，他暗戀妳哦!」

The funnies part is when a bunch of grade two kids visit me in my classroom by informing me, "Miss Hope, our classmate who and who says you are so pretty that he has a crush on you..."

這真是個早熟的世界啊!!!
