廣結善緣，截長補短 In Touch With All Those Kind-Hearted ~~~ A Much-Needed Boost For All Fronts

PRELUDE  前言

"Do you ever feel a sense of insecurity when you travel to so many different places, giving it all to everyone, though quite a few must be envious of where you have been plus what you have achieved?" My good friend asked.

一位好友問道：「妳到過這麼多地方、作過這麼些事、有這些光環，別人看到只會覺得哇~~~哇~~~好棒哦、好羨慕……但是他們不知道妳在背後要付出多少。我想問妳的，是妳在這種種過程裡面，是否有著任何令妳感到不安的地方?」

I thought about all those faces I have met. I know I am never alone no matter where I am. Also, I am aware that I have been protected by some unknown forces or angels wherever I go. As my intention of linking with more people to help out becomes stronger, so are my actions taken--I notice I am more bold, not in a rude, arrogant manner, but more courageous when I need to test new grounds. 

我想著所有我曾經遇過的人們的臉孔，因為這許許多多男女老少的面容，我知道不論我身在何處，我永遠不會有「一個人」的空虛寂莫。

在我所看不見的地方，往往有著靜悄悄的無聲力量捍衛著我似的，讓我在絕對的困難中也有絕對的優雅，雖然，優雅一點也不能稱斤論兩。

我也意識到，當我在協助不同人種、人群的意念更為強烈時，我的力道也更加不若以往--那不是一種衝動或者狂妄，卻是當我在測驗一個新的作法時至為要緊的強心針，讓我更加能夠有一鼓作氣的智者胸襟。

I imagine myself talking to businesses from different parts of the world. I imagine I reach out for more, as if allowing some higher forces to utilize me as a solid, well-grounded tool for the betterment of all fronts. 

我開始想像自己如何與世界各地的業界人士，討論相關事宜；

我也像看到清晰的畫面般清楚凝視自己將透過更多的實驗和手法，協助更多的人群及物種，而這一切，只不過是某種力量透過著我這樣的器具，讓更多生靈不再繼續塗炭。

I say THANK YOU every day for such sheer power existing in me, and I shall never regret every step I have taken because for me, everything combined will be for the public good. 

在每一個嶄新的日子當中充滿感恩，是我的生命歷程中極為重要的一環；之所以感恩，是由於對我而言，每一個步履幾乎都象徵著我對於服務信念的更為堅定而踏。

My answer to my friend's question is very clear and direct. 

"No, I am not insecure at all. On the contrary, I have this strong sense of security inside that it is like the strongest fire inflaming the strengths in me, very often ready to ignite any other individual's passion towards life, self-discovery, and loving kindness."   

我清楚而直接的回應是：

「不會，我一點也不覺得缺少安全感。相反地，在我的內心有鼓偌大的機制，恆定了我的行為與思考，而這種機制的本身就像熊熊烈火一般，隨時隨地準備好為他人在生命上的熱情、發想、人與人之間的關懷等等良好特質而燃燒著。」

Students in a primary school up in the mountain around borders of two nations in East Africa 

where I serve were appreciating cards made by trash and by my college students from Taiwan, 

where, some of the cards were already sent to other groups of people doing good things 

for the other humanity or species on the planet. 非洲深山中的學生正在觀看我在台灣的大學生們，

在我的鼓勵及邀請之下，手作的以廢棄物為材料的卡片；

其中的一些卡片早已寄送給其他世界各地，同樣為人群及物種付出的慈善組織。

在那樣的地區，學生中午如果幸運，會有政府補助的食物作為營養午餐，內容物是豆子，

而學生們必須派出代表，撿拾木材、生火、自己煮給全校師生食用。

如果不幸沒有政府的經費，學生就必須在學校挨餓一整天。當身為一個外來者看到這樣聞所未聞的狀況之後，

我的衝擊不亞於他們的飢腸祿祿，進而趨始

我開始著手進行社區整體生活條件的改造運動，其中最重要的一環就是與學生們的母親合作，

讓她們以組別的方式，執行可以推動、於她們有益的計畫。

 At such places of the world, when students are lucky, the government would sponsor them with some beans that they would have to cook for themselves plus the school faculty members as lunch: to cook, students must firstly collect fire wood from their land so they can set up the fire themselves. 

When there is no "bean support" from the government, the kids go hungry during the entire day. 

Seeing such a situation challenging not only them but me, an outsider who knew nothing 

like this existed, began to talk to the students' mothers who later on formed groups 

for schemes that can enhance their living standards.  

Years later when the first real house, not houses made by cow dung served as their traditional 

housing constructions, was built, due to the effectiveness of the community enhancement project 

proposed by me, helped by the middle class I have partnered with there, 

and executed by the local villagers in different communities, I heard people from other villages

 were asking "Can Hope come to visit our village and work with us, too?"

當多年的努力小有成果，當村子裡面的人群生活條件日益好了起來之後，村子裡面蓋起了非傳統牛糞所作的、

真正的磚瓦房，大家意識到這場由一個外來的「白人」所提出的實驗，

透過當地中產階級人士們的協助，和落後地區人民的通力合作，使得人們的生活水平真正提升。

這時候，我聽人們告訴我，幾個鄰村的人紛紛詢問著：

「Hope哪時候要來我們這裡和我們合作?」

背景資訊 Background Information	A  已與當地人群建立良好互動機制   Links with local communities are established.   B  已有群體合作概念的婦女朋友們，有心學習新型技能以增加收入，改善生活條件 Females who are already grouped can be willing to learn more skills to boost their income.
預期效益 Expected Outcome	A  進行相關合作企業將獲取更高的利潤及擁有更響亮的名聲 Businesses gain more profits and reputation.   B  生活水平低落的貧窮人口，將因更高的收入而獲得生活上的改善 Local communities will have higher living standards due to better income.
執行方式 Methodology	A  與企業端洽談，了解業者生意型態及合作意向 Discuss with the intended businesses for their purposes and possible cooperation.   B  讓已熟識當地人群之人，將企業端人士之理念或代表，帶進該種部落或群體，尤其與當地領導多作接觸 Bring those ideals or representatives from different businesses into the local communities, especially with the local leaders present, for the exchange of ideas.   C  擬定合作計畫 Draft the intended mode of cooperation.   D  於當地村落實施上述相關計畫 Execute the plan.
