中英對照談論一本書 Have A Little Faith Part A
All these clips are from faculty members of different public schools in
a city where I instructed them for their English
proficiency in relation to their personal and professional development.
As usual, I have enjoyed the process very much from the point of view of education; because their feedback is quite inspirational, it can be obvious they have enjoyed the process, too, despite of the fact I merely posted the work of "Have A Little Faith Part A" for a while from another locality. I cannot put everyone's words here, such as "It's good to hear your lovely voice teaching us again," or "Thank you for remembering our promise to have classes altogether;" however, I am thankful to each and every student who turns out to be good friends I have ever met along my journey. They have taught me more than I have to them.

Several years ago when I read
this same book, I did not quite get the ideas inside: maybe it was a result of
linguistic barrier, or perhaps I was not used to a book describing two
distinctive individuals in a parallel manner. On top of these two characters, the
author was inside the story, too. Still, over all these, there are notions
regarding religious beliefs.
幾年前第一次拜讀此書，因書中談論宗教層面，雙軌並行的人物描寫外，作者本身也角色之中，雖然記錄真實故事，但我無法一窺內容背後的神秘面紗。
Magically, when I read the book
again recently, I found it to be so reachable, as if all the sentences and
phrases inside the book were waving to me. Thinking about all those students I
have met who have enjoyed attending my courses, I figure the book should be
explained according to the ways I understand about it so that more people will
know the beauty of it. Hence, with my tight schedule, I decide it is time we
begin uncovering the layers of this book which should help people to rediscover
layers in themselves.
奇妙的是最近再度翻閱此書，一讀之下竟在書內發現層出不窮的「黃金屋」，但覺身為一位國內外深度服務相關人士，也身為一位受到各地各種職業學生們讚許有嘉乃至過譽的教育者，我就算工作再怎麼繁重都應挪出時間，以個人淺見呈現本書原貌背後可探之處一二，也透過這樣的分享與探究，使我們都有機會將自我的本質作些許、乃至深入解讀。
I can never take any credit of
doing so but humbly thank the author who produced this wonderful book and those
whom I have met alongside my path of contributing my efforts into humanitarian
projects worldwide as well as my role played in the field of education. Since
my English name, as I had later decided when my English proficiency reached a
certain level, should be Hope, as it matches with the pronunciation of my Mandarin
Chinese in a coincidental way, I believe it would be wonderful if we start from
the last sentence of the entire book: "I am in love with
hope."
在這樣的過程之中我所能夠作的，是無限感沛此書(包含作者等)數名人物之巧奪天功，也要感謝上蒼匠心獨具，使吾此生因緣際會中於國際深度服務和各地教學場景內，收獲滿載而能與此書產生共鳴。
由於我的英文名字在自己慢慢懂事、了解 hope 這個單字的發音和我的中文名字發音十分雷同後，而將自己的英文名字取作了Hope，也因為這樣的巧合，我比較希望從書本的最後開始談起；此乃本書之最後一句為I am in love with hope. 意即：「我就這樣在希望(hope)之中如痴如醉」。
It happens to be the Moon
Festival (a translation I prefer a bit more than Mid-Autumn Festival) according
to the Chinese or other Oriental cultures when the interpretation of this book
from my part begins; it is a great honor to be linking such with an ancient
description of how on each and every lake or river, the moon reflects itself on
the surfaces of these waters, while all the time, the sky can be both cloudless
and endless...
中秋佳節時分開始這本書的逐步解讀、拆解，也正與那「千江有水千江月、萬里無雲萬里天」的瀟灑於出世和入世境界中來去自如之情，不謀而合……
In the beginning, though, the
writer never said he was filled with hope. Why? This is something we have to
find out altogether.
本書開始之初，作者並未如此充滿希望。
為何如此?
轉變自何而風生水起?
這些都是我們要一起探索的令人玩味和令人感到好奇之處 !
