When I first met my American friend Cathy, I did not know she has been involved in missionary/voluntary trips taking people to disadvantaged places outside her nation. I only knew that we CLICKED right over there, as if there was an unspoken language exchanging friendly ideas on behalf of us in such a smooth manner which we did not even realize. Then I began to understand people who give to the others selflessly demonstrate similar sorts of concepts towards the world, that they do not hesitate to share and/or to care. It is as if we go beyond the boundaries of waiting for a paycheck, some very practical material gains, to another territory where payment is no longer counted by such physical currencies but by the depth of one's devotion, love, and respect to the others, to the species, to the universe. The further we go, the more understanding we have about the world where the poor can really be classified into such categories which we cannot experience inside our own, respective nation, at the current decades, we become more lighthearted and generous. No words can describe the good intentions done to the others and frankly speaking, we are all here in this world to learn more and to understand better about the meaning of our existence. 

The extension of our world view, when it goes beyond the borders, seems to arrive at a territory where limitations do not exist. Yes, we appear to be extra enthusiastic, passionate, fulfilling even; however, they all originate from the single thought of making others' lives better, more beautiful. Thus in return, we complete ourselves and these actions make us more well grounded as human beings. 

剛剛認識這位名為CATHY的美國朋友時，我並不大了解為何我們可以很快交談、搭上線、有所共識，後來我發現我們之所以可以如此契和是由於我們都不約而同，跨出自己國家家園的界線進行不論用什麼詞彙來描述都有極高同質性的人道救援工作、慈善工作、義務服務。這樣的人有些相通之處：我們不大在意薪水上面的數字(以我個人來說捐出去使用、灑出去使用是比較明快的作法)，我們都發現了貧富之間的差別在不同國家有著極為不同的定義(有些國家的「窮人」可以領到政府的救濟金、其他國家的「窮人」生活在垃圾山、還有一些國家的「窮人」被徵召成為童工或者民兵……)，我們也都了解在這個世界上存著一絲善念真心誠意付出的時候，一個人可以活得坦坦蕩蕩就算夜路遇到了鬼也可以相談甚歡，更沒有什麼好計較的人事物可以甘擾這樣的人，導致那種「施比受更有福」的概念繞了一圈之後回轉到我身上時，公部門和業界的前輩們告訴了我：

「……聘請您的人真的要任命妳為高級顧問才行，如果沒有這樣的抬頭，您就自己成就自己的事業就好：您是作大事的料，因為您所牽動的格局不是一般人牽動得了的，那不是語言程度高、幾個命令和手腕就可以達成的，那需要極為具體的國際視野和您獨樹一格的執行力……這個世界上也許還有幾個會作事的人，但是，沒有人是像您這樣真正為了某些崇高的、妳一直以來不斷達成著的使命而作事……您太稀有了，是一種打著燈籠都找不到的人才……如果任何人他們不知道要尊重Hope老師您，他們不但是過於無禮、他們也對自己不敬!!」

我一直不希望自己孤冷高傲，但是上面這番話從不同人口中不約而同傳遞給我的時候，我默默地感到自己肩頭上的使命感是有些重量的。並且，不感到什麼人對我無禮、什麼人對我尊重，便將影響我的行事作風、為人處事；在這個踽踽而行的路上，我總是感到能夠拉人一把的話，能拉一個是一個，有人有心病，有人有物質上的匱乏，所以拉不同的人所需使用的勁道不同，但都必須使勁。

而我往往總是感到自己勁道的來源，就是即便前一天已經被冷水澆熄的熱情，第二天又再度「自燃」起來的旺盛；也許真是……

From these LUCKY SEVEN sentences created by myself, let's just say that I am on the road of designing my life continuously by going away from Taiwan yet again after those precious lessons learned at somewhere remote contrasting to another place technical geographically speaking inside my homeland. I am thrilled to keep challenging myself and I will look forward to seeing more people plus species I can serve.

就用上面這七個小妮子俺自創的句子，讓我慢慢來打造我這必須繼續扛下去的使命，讓我繼續設計我的人生吧~~~

第一站，就從在台灣汲取了外島與科學重鎮兩種極端地理人文背景的養份，進行服務工作後，再次從離開家鄉，投入大世界的懷抱開始囉……我在這兩種極端的區域，看到了人我之間的溫情、關懷、彼此的互敬與互愛、熱忱、真實、勇敢……這些在我的行囊中永不消逝的「法寶」，應該可以如大家所預期的，協助我遇見更多貴人、產生更多奇妙的火焰……
