Pupils in one of the schools there in the mountains boardering Kenya and Tanzania are preparing the "nutritious lunch" for their fellow students. This kind of lunch is made by maize and beans, perhaps the only solid food a pupil can get to eat per day. If the schools are lucky, they are subsidized by certain NGOs for this kind of food program which does not provide all schools suffering from droughts in the region.
